Finding harmony between the menstruator and the environment
More than 355 million women and girls in India are menstruating, yet so many across the country still lack adequate access to a comfortable and dignified experience with menstrual health. An estimated 1.021 billion pads are disposed of monthly by menstruators who can access single-use period products. The majority of these throwaway period products are non-biodegradable in nature. It is alarming, to say the least.
How do we ‘Make a Switch’?
Qnix brings you gender-neutral Boxer Brief Period Underwear that will ease the menstruation process for transgender men and gender-nonconforming people, especially in India. Qnix believes in problem-solving and we achieve it by passing the mic and bringing empowering stories of inspiring people to the table. After the launch of our campaign, we have raised awareness with over 100 menstruators.
We also organise and conduct awareness sessions at educational institutes in rural and urban areas. With a belief that we can make a change by educating and normalising the biological process of periods for teens and adults alike. Our awareness sessions familiarise people with the usage of sustainable menstrual products and an understanding of the natural processes of the human body.
